What is the difference between enfj and entj

They are able to enjoy the moment, notice the beauty of the world around them, and find tangible ways to express their thoughts. When this happens they tend to become reactive, rushed, impulsive, or self-destructive. Sometimes this manifests as excessive eating, drinking, or exercising. When they explore insights, they can look at the practical realities in tandem with their vision.

They can be more realistic about their expectations. They enjoy complexity and solving unusual problems; in fact, anything that has already been discovered or learned holds very little interest to them.

They tend to think in symbols and images that have profound meaning. They focus predominantly on the distant future and the big picture. It is also what connects them with other people and makes them both supportive and supported. Te is focused on organizing and implementing systems that make life run more efficiently. INTJs are good at coming up with strategic plans, delegating to get a job done, or finding flaws that are slowing down a process.

Te is impersonal and analytical which means that when INTJs have a decision to make they tend to look at the objective facts and weigh the pros and cons. INTJs who resist Fi development tend to be more insensitive, controlling, or prone to black-and-white judgments. They pause before making decisions to decide if what they are about to do feels right to them on a personal level.

When this happens they can become conspiracy theorists without objective evidence to back up their claims. They also tend to be self-pitying and self-righteous when in a loop. INTJs are at their best when their functions all work together in harmony.

Te-Fi should work in tandem with Fi serving Te. When INTJs develop Se in moderation , they balance their insights with objective reality and can be more productive and realistic. They are able to appreciate tangible reality, notice the beauty of the world around them, and find concrete ways to express their thoughts.

Other times they try to control surroundings through obsessive cleaning, organizing, or disinfecting. Their thinking becomes cloudy and unclear. They develop a fine-tuned awareness of the emotions and needs of others and they work hard to create a feeling of inclusivity and social cohesion. They are strategic about creating a life that is in line with their values and that meets the needs of the people most important to them. They are interested in foreseeing implications, grasping patterns, and noticing potential.

ENFJs often use Ni to foresee the potential of the people around them or hidden gifts and talents. Healthy Ni development for ENFJs means that they are reflective before jumping to conclusions, their strategies are more effective, and they have very astute insights. It gives them a sense of fun and adventure and lets them adapt to life with resilience rather than getting stuck on an idea that may not be realistic. Se helps ENFJs to tune into the beauty in the world around them and appreciate the opportunities and adventures that present themselves.

When this happens they can become superficial, overly-impulsive, overly-competitive, restless, and emotionally volatile. Ni and Se should both be respected and accepted into the psyche, working in tandem together with Se in the service of Ni.

In the same way, Ti the inferior function should work in tandem with Fe the dominant function. With healthy Ti-development they become more self-sufficient, analytical, and aware of accuracies and inaccuracies in their own thinking.

The problem with the inferior function is that each personality type can be tempted to repress it in favor of their dominant function. When ENFJs repress Ti for too long, they can struggle to have self-confidence because so much of their decisions lie on social approval. They can also become unaware of their own biases. When this happens, ENFJs feel increasingly pessimistic, disconnected, and drained.

Usually expressive and warm, they suddenly become aloof and unsympathetic, looking for reasons to blame others or themselves for the pain they are in. Okay how do you tell the difference between these two? I'm thinking that an ENFJ who's had problems with people in the past, especially a bloke, would tend more towards T-ish kind of thinking. Less empathy and more guarded like the ENTJ. However would an ENTJ who'd been hurt by people tend to be more empathic as the wound would make them open up with true friends?

How could you tell them apart? How do they react to such stresses as bullies and betrayals? Which one is more likely to bite your head off one minute and then be perfectly fine the next? Thoughts people? Dark Razor New member. So the ENFJ should be very people focused and care very much about personal relationships, generaly they should be very warm people , like ESFJs are too. ENTJs should be much less focused on people, much colder and reserved and also extremely straighforward and blunt, generally not concerned with how what they say will effect others emotionally.

An ENTJ is likely to speak out even when he has the whole group against him, trying to make his point and not holding back because maybe someone could be offended. Though an ENTJ of course also shows feelings to others, but it is likely that he will act rather ackward, as it is his last function. Edit: I would think that an ENTJ who has been hurt would probably not open up more to people, he would likely think that he needs to be "strong" and "hard" and not show any weakness to other people, generally become more unapproachable and distant.

You could also mistake an ENTJ for an introvert maybe, becaue he will often be misunderstood, and people usually react badly to his forceful presence, so it is possible that the ENTJ will tone down his personality to better fit into social settings.

Dark Razor said:. Click to expand Showing feelings to others is Fe. The fifth function of ETJ. In the middle. Fi is not about showing feelings. Fi is about private feelings. Thank you for that correction. Ah damn, it's gone already, I just wanted to ask if one of the INTPs could please h4xxor and destroy the computer behind the IP of the Britney Spears porn garbage, to late now.

I am pleased to find somebody from Germany here. You what now? What garbage? I'm just trying to figure out what the grey areas would be like, what's the last characteristic to go and the first to be adopted and so on. Oh and negative feedback Fs aren't necessarily warm. Some are just plain feisty!

Xander said:. Each grew up in a dysfunctional family, receiving from their respective parents a combination of inconsistent support and scorn. The ENFJ showed reluctance towards introversion and had a ritualistically bad temper before, in her forties, identifying and rectifying her personal problems; the ENTJ, in his mid-fifties, has only begun to abandon his maladaptive behaviors, and can still be imperious and preclusive. Imperious and preclusive. Please expand on this.

ENFJ The twin attributes of insightful caring and organisational ability will mean the ENFJ will see all the interconnections between people, pick up on the cues and work tirelessly to help solve people issues. They enjoy a good argument and will be robust and strident in their views and will forget conflict as quickly as they enter into it. Excellent networkers who tune into people and popular among their colleagues.

Their whole purpose is to make change happen and they do not like a slow pace. Everyone knows they can depend on the ENFJ who will fight the cause of the people. ENTJ The ENTJ is extremely direct, at times bone-jarringly so and they may therefore not pick up on sensitivities, especially around the fact that other people may not enjoy conflict and some may even fear it.

During such times they may feel weighed down, overwhelmed and underappreciated. Action-oriented, and people-centred they make sure that everything is planned, scheduled, organised and people are happy.

Because they are so confident and outspoken they may inadvertently upset people with their directness. ENFJ ENFJs are emotional but tend to focus on other people, tuning in and bringing incredible empathy and organisational ability to bear. ENFJ Whilst the ENFJ will encourage trust and openness they may not be so open about how they are feeling, indeed they may not really think about that so focused are they on caring for, and organising others.

They are open and assertive and everyone will be clear where they stand but this will probably remain at a cerebral level. They have thin psychological boundaries, and are at risk of being hurt or by those who are less sensitive, often taking on more of the burdens of others than they can bear. ENTJ As an ENTJ is primarily concerned with making things happen they may not realise that other people may take a little longer to understand or may not be as forthcoming or direct and assume silence is agreement.

We all bring something different to the team and we all agree that difference and balance are good things.
