Who is jaina in wow

Her story has been told in between the stories of others, or in relation to others. Not quite a footnote, but not quite a main character, her history has been by and large ignored in favor of the future — of more important things. And perhaps part of that is due to Jaina herself. For when the past comes calling, it comes calling hard.

Yes, she was young at that point — only eleven or so when she first met Arthas on her way to Dalaran. Once in Dalaran, she buried herself in her studies so thoroughly that there are no real records of her returning home at all, even for a visit. She had a good relationship with both of her parents, however, and neither objected to her engagement to Arthas. Why would they? When that engagement abruptly ended, Jaina buried herself even further in her studies. And then she took what survivors she could muster and she left for Kalimdor, putting all thoughts of Arthas firmly behind her.

On Kalimdor, Jaina set out to find the mysterious prophet who had urged her to take the journey. The Burning Legion threatened the world, and it would take a united force to stop the invasion.

Although initially wary, Jaina agreed…and found herself wrapped up in the middle of a war that was eventually won. In Thrall, Jaina saw something once thought impossible — the potential for peace and some kind of diplomatic resolution between the Alliance and the Horde.

Unfortunately, her father showed up at precisely the wrong moment. Jaina was torn. And in the event that said enemies came calling again, unity would once again be necessary. It was a certainty. So she stood aside, letting the Horde take him down. And then she put all thoughts of her father firmly behind her and led Theramore with all the grace she could muster.

It was fixed on her future as a mage in Dalaran when she left Kul Tiras to study there. It was fixed on a potentially bright future with Arthas, until that crashed around her and sent her back to Dalaran. It returned to that bright future as a mage, until the Scourge arrived and tore that path to pieces.

And as the years passed, Jaina tried her hardest to draw others into that bright future with her. It almost seemed as if the past was something that Jaina lived through, and then left behind. Not out of cruelty, not out of coldness — Jaina was never cold or cruel. In the end, Jaina lost everything. But where does that leave a leader, a diplomat, an advisor, a friend? It's an arguably dark place, but it's also arguable that this was just the character development Jaina needed.

As a character, Jaina hadn't really had a lot of progression in her personality since she was introduced all the way back in Warcraft III. Wrath of the Lich King saw the beginnings of what would ultimately be a push into a dark place from which no one, not even a Proudmoore, could emerge unscathed. The Legion is advancing and the Horde arms for battle. Archmage Khadgar says: Then I'll get right to the point. For the Kirin Tor to fight at full strength, we need the mages of the Horde to join our ranks. Do you hear me, Khadgar? Archmage Khadgar says: Jaina, we know the pain you've endured. They left us to die on the Broken Shore. Again and again they've proven to be monsters Archmage Khadgar says: I've made my case.

With respect, I move for a vote. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Very well. But consider your choice carefully. If you let those vermin back into this city, I will not be counted among your ranks when you welcome them. Archmage Karlain says: Aye.

Archmage Vargoth says: Aye. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Nay. Archmage Ansirem Runeweaver says: Nay. Archmage Modera says: Aye. Archmage Khadgar says: The vote carries. I'm sorry, Jaina, but the stakes are higher than they've ever been. Archmage Modera says: Jaina, please Stand with us! Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: This Council is blind to the truth. When the Horde betrays you again, remember who warned you. Archmage Khadgar says: That was But we must move forward.

We will send our invitation to the Warchief at once. We have a war to win. His words carried upon the ocean breeze, As he sank beneath the tide. Those blood-soaked shores of Kalimdor, Where sailors fought and died. The admiral fell at Theramore, because she left his side. Why this? Why this oh Daughter of the Sea? Always the pride of our nation's eyes, How could she go astray?

When she did flee across the ocean deep, the admiral followed west. What else but sail to save a daughter's life, and pray she still drew breath? But there he found upon those distant shores, Enemies 'pon the rise!

But when he faced those savage foes His daughter stood aside. And buried deep beneath the waves, Betrayed by family. Katherine Proudmoore says: Thank you all for coming. I shall keep this brief. Katherine Proudmoore says: Division has made us vulnerable. We are beset by enemies from within. Katherine Proudmoore says: The Horde, too, has made its intentions clear.

Those savages would see us burn. Katherine Proudmoore says: I ask you now to put your faith in my daughter Jaina Katherine Proudmoore says: And to renew our bond with the Alliance, whose heroes have saved us from our own unmaking. Katherine Proudmoore says: What say you? And with the Alliance. Brother Pike says: The Storm's Wake shall guide the fleet to victory for the Alliance, as we have before. Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Thank you I will do everything I can to prove worthy of your trust.

May the Light guide us to victory. When you asked to meet me at the harbor, I had no idea what you had in mind. This is incredible! Kul Tiras and the Alliance once shared a bond of friendship.

Now both of our peoples will see that bond reforged. I can think of no grander gesture, Lord Admiral.
